family hike

On Saturday, it was 70 degrees in Logan so we headed up the canyon for an adventure. We stopped at Spring Hollow Campground and headed up the trail that Jonathan and I hiked for our first date. Jonathan proposed to me on this same trail a year after the first date. This year we climbed the trail with our brand new Autumn. What a special place it has become! I'm glad to say that I was healed well enough for such a hike. The rock slide area is where Jonathan proposed and I am standing near proposal rock in the picture. There are fossils on the trail and Jonathan and I will be glad to take anyone up there to look for fossils.

Fist Sharing

For playtime the passed two days I've set Autumn on a blanket and put my face near hers. She smiles and shares her fist with me. Yesterday she rubbed my face with it. Today she put it in my mouth. Everything I've read says that babies don't discover their hands until three months. I can tell that she knows she's sharing something with me. She's definitely smarter than the average baby.

Girl Clothes and Other Matters

Autumn gets to have a new boy cousin in a few months. Congratulations Brian and Carol!

Autumn tried on a dress for the first time today.

This is our other daughter, Mautumn. She was very unhappy when I tried to lay her on the floor to take a picture.

Thirty seconds later she was asleep in my arms and behaving very well.

Conference Weekend

Jonathan's parents came and visited us on conference weekend. We had a wonderful time. Jonathan and his dad went mountain biking on Saturday. They rode all the way to the top of the hike where Jon and I had our first date and where Jon proposed to me.

One Month Old Today

Autumn picked up her birth certificate from the health department today. (It says bunny rabbit on it.) Autumn was awake for the first part of this picture taking activity. She is still cuddled up to the teddy bear as I write this.
