Phillips Reunion

We met at the Layton Commons Park for a picnic with Jonathan's family. The weather was perfect.

The Phillips grand babies auditioned for one of those cellphone-bar commercials.

Three cameras with timers set on the picnic table gave us some adequate group shots.


The park had a river running through it with a shady path and lots of water fowl. We enjoyed the whole path.

We were really bummed to find out that archery is not allowed there. Oh well.

A Picnic with Mandy

My sister Mandy came to visit on Friday. We spent the evening up Logan Canyon. We had a hot dog roast and then went on a hike by Old Ephriam's Grave. Later Mandy showed us some wonderful video from her awesome China trip. The next morning we had waffles for breakfast and all got ready to head out on our next adventures.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Autumn didn't care for her toast this morning, until... homemade raspberry jam was added. I'm thinking the color helped her want to try it.

Weather Pictures From Last Night

Within the space of half an hour we had both a super-vivid, double rainbow and a brilliant sunset. I have yet to find the pot of gold in our house. Judging by the picture it should be in the upstairs bathroom, with a smaller pot of gold somewhere in one of the bedrooms.

I enjoyed this picture because the colorful Christmas lights just seem to go with the rainbow. (This next picture is not our house by the way. It's the other end of the rainbow.)

One of the reasons I love summer is because of the great sunsets and cloud formations. I hope to see a lot of them this summer.

Exploring Cache Valley

On Saturday evening, Jonathan, Autumn, and I drove our Jeep up Providence Canyon. The road was pretty rough, but we saw a lot of people camping. At the end of the road we found a giant gravel pit. We had to turn around when the creek running down the middle of the road made it too slippery.

Autumn at 9 Months

Autumn has a fever, but she was gracious enough to pose for her picture. She now claps, points, and stands up for a second or two.
