We met up with Jon's parents at the Marriot Mountainside Resort in Park City. They had reserved a condo for the week of General Conference and invited anyone in the family who wanted to, to come hang out. We had BLT sandwiches for lunch. Mmmmm... home-grown tomatoes and sourdough bread!
In the afternoon, the men in the family (Jon and his dad) went mountain biking. They loved all of it, but sweeney's switchbacks- too many tree roots or was that tree branches?
The women (Autumn, Grandma, and I) tended to a more important matter, namely swimming in the heated swimming pool.
In the evening we had Family Home Evening. Then we watched a movie called the Work and the Glory. Jon and I had never seen it. Then Jon's parents left for home and we had the condo to ourselves until Thursday evening. In the morning we drove to the Uintas. It was my first time seeing them. This is Jordanelle Reservoir with Timpanogos Peak in the background.
We stopped at the Provo River Falls. There are at least four different waterfalls there.
Much of the Uintas are above the tree line. 
Next to the trailhead for the above peak was a lovely picnic site where we had a nice, quiet lunch. (My ideal vacation involves seeing as few other people as possible.)
After lunch we drove a few more feet up to Mirror Lake.
Autumn impressed us by walking the entire 1.5 mile hike around the lake.
On Wednesday we explored the outlet mall. Calvin got one Sunday Onesie. In the afternoon Jessica, Kloe, and Andrew came for a visit. We enjoyed their company. We even took a little walk around the ski resort with them.
Autumn got to go swimming almost every single day. She is a big girl who wants to do everything herself, including being released in the deep end. Autumn- I don't think so.
On Thursday we drove passed a really, really, big resort on our way through the mountains to Big Cottonwood Canyon.
It was fun to see the mountains behind Salt Lake City.
We enjoyed an afternoon at the zoo with Autumn's cousin Celeste and her parents.
We had dinner with the Crenshaw's and then went to Autumn's cousin Jackson's 3rd birthday Party. My camera battery died, but there are nice pictures of the event here. Great cake Katrina!We drove back to Park City via American Fork Canyon. We saw a giant moose in the road.
On Friday I was sick, but Jonathan got to go mountain biking with his dad again. We did more swimming in the evening. I finished my Book of Mormon 100 day challenge just before dinner. IT'S TRUE. Diana and Troy joined us in the evening too.
On Saturday I felt better and took a walk in the early morning to take pictures of the fall colors.
Conference was great. We made the most of the in-between hours.
Brian, Carol, and Gabriel stopped by in the evening. They wanted to swim so of course we had to take them. :)
We drove home Sunday evening, refreshed and rejoicing that no one had missed us while we were gone!
