Here we are kids... at the zoo! (Simpsons quote)

Autumn visited the zoo for the first time today. She fell asleep after the bobcats so I had to buy the duck food and feed the ducks by myself.

The Logan zoo has two wallabies, two bobcats, two coyotes, two bald eagles, several turkey buzzards, and some exotic ducks. It has an honor pay system and is probably open every day of the year.
Lynda Larsen at SDL crocheted the baby outfit and hat for Autumn. My mom crocheted the baby blanket using the exact same yarn! I didn't notice that until I sat Autumn on the blanket when she was wearing the jacket.

Doctors' Visit Girls

Autumn and Celeste both had to go to the doctor yesterday. Celeste stopped by to visit us on her way back home from Salt Lake. Autumn can't wait to be mobile and eat big people food like Celeste.

Autumn got her two month immunizations at her doctor's visit. While we were waiting in the hallway for the shots, Autumn started staring at the blue exit sign on the wall. I took her up to it and told her what each letter was. Today I sat down with Autumn and she stared staring and smiling at the words Utah State on my sweatshirt. I sounded out the letters for her. A while later, she looked intently at the letters that said Blood Donor on my t-shirt. I'm thinking that Autumn is smarter than I realize. I want to get an alphabet chart for her and I definitely need to start reading childrens' books with her.

Spies like us

Autumn and I noticed a guy in our backyard messing with the utility box. We were suspicious until we saw his truck parked out front. He gets points for not smashing my lilac bush, but I will be careful where I put any tomato bushes next year.

AquaTunnel

Today Autumn enjoyed playing in her AquaTunnel.

It has plastic fish that play songs and a blow-up ball with a rattle inside.

She got excited and kicked it over with her feet.
